What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert
- Monitor cloud usage across AWS and MS Azure, analyzing spending patterns for cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and maintain dashboards and financial models to forecast cloud spend and track against budget
- Partner with Finance to develop cost allocation methodologies and enhance data pipelines
- Automate reporting and cost optimization alerts using various tools and platforms
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and 2 – 4 years of related experience
- Strong understanding of cloud cost management principles and FinOps best practices
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and MS Azure
- Proficiency in tools including Cloud Financial Management Platform, Python, and Terraform
- Ability to communicate complex cost concepts clearly to technical teams
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in financial modeling and forecasting related to cloud spending
- Familiarity with automation tools and techniques for reporting and alerts
- Knowledge of cloud governance and tagging programs
