What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead cloud cost optimization initiatives and serve as a subject matter expert
- Monitor cloud usage across AWS and MS Azure, analyzing spending patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize cloud spend across teams and business units
- Partner with Finance to develop cost allocation methodologies and bridge technical-financial gaps
- Mentor and coach team members on FinOps principles and cloud cost best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree and 2 – 4 years of related experience, or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in cloud financial management and familiarity with tools such as Python, Terraform, and data analytics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate cost concepts and optimization strategies effectively
- Experience in cloud cost management platforms and governance programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with cloud cost optimization strategies such as rightsizing and reserved instances
- Familiarity with executive-level reporting and forecasting models
- Knowledge of automation tools and data pipeline enhancements
- Prior experience collaborating with engineering and procurement teams
- Demonstrated ability to influence strategic decisions within a technology environment
