  What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  - Analyze physician/provider documentation in health records to determine diagnoses and procedures
  - Utilize encoder software applications for coding assignments including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS codes
  - Communicate effectively with diverse groups in both virtual and in-person settings
  - Research and analyze information from various sources to ensure accurate coding
  - Work independently with minimal supervision while prioritizing workload effectively
  
  What is Required (Qualifications):
  - Minimum of two years of current coding experience
  - Completion of an AHIMA-approved or AAPC-approved coding program, or an Associate’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field
  - Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Certified Procedural Coder (CPC) certification
  - Proficiency in using encoding/grouping software and understanding of ICD and CPT coding systems
  - High School Diploma required; Associate's degree preferred
  
  How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  - Experience in OB/GYN or surgical coding
  - Familiarity with distance learning or web-based training tools
  - Well-developed written and oral communication skills applicable in virtual environments
  - Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
