What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide emotional support, risk assessment, and crisis intervention to individuals contacting the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline via phone, online chat, or SMS
- Conduct thorough documentation of all crisis contacts and ensure adherence to confidentiality policies
- Utilize effective communication skills for behavioral health and suicide risk assessment
- Collaborate with clinical staff and paraprofessionals to provide comprehensive support
- Maintain contact response volumes in line with contractual metrics for the 988 service
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of a GED/High School diploma and four (4) years of full-time behavioral health work experience, or a combination of education and experience
- Knowledge of King County Public Mental Health System
- Excellent verbal, written, and technical skills, including proficiency in multiple software platforms
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a multi-disciplinary team
- Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) credential through the WA Department of Health required within 6 months of hire
