What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide customer service for basic and routine inquiries and problems via multiple channels (telephone, emails, web chats, or written letters)
- Respond to incoming calls, e-mails, or chats and make outbound calls regarding Federal Student Aid (FSA) Loan Servicing
- Utilize computerized systems for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting
- Maintain regular use of the feedback tool to give and receive constructive feedback on call quality and departmental tasks
- Assist with Credit Bureau Requests and refer escalated inquiries to appropriate levels as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience
- Must be able to speak and read English clearly, professionally, and fluently
- Must reside in the U.S. and be a U.S. citizen
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a customer service role within the education sector
- Familiarity with Federal Student Aid programs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to organize simultaneous tasks
- Basic math skills and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Willingness to travel to pick up a PIV-I card if necessary
