What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Deliver incident investigation and response services to insured clients, including forensically sound collection and analysis of digital evidence
- Develop incident timelines, theories of compromise, and root cause identifications
- Participate in threat actor negotiations and incident recovery activities as necessary
- Create and deliver detailed incident reports and recommendations for risk mitigation to stakeholders
- Conduct incident response training and simulations for targeted insured clients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity operations, incident response, or incident recovery
- Willingness to travel as needed to perform job functions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Previous hands-on experience in digital forensics and incident response
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Significant coursework in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, or cybersecurity
- Background in law enforcement or government/military with experience in technical investigations
- Knowledge of cloud security products and services from major providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google)
- Experience with a top-10 cyber consulting firm or leading DFIR provider
- One or more industry cybersecurity certifications (e.g., GCIH, Security+, CISSP)
