What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor network traffic and systems for security breaches and anomalies
- Investigate and respond to security incidents and alerts
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Implement and maintain security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and security principles
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar), firewalls, and endpoint protection
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus
