What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Connect to, extract, and transform data from various sources to ensure data readiness for analysis
- Design and develop effective data models within Power BI to support reporting and analytical requirements
- Write complex DAX formulas and measures to create calculated fields and aggregations for in-depth analysis
- Perform in-depth data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and concisely to diverse government audiences
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar role
- Active Secret clearance required; TS/SCI Preferred
- Proven expertise in Microsoft Power BI, including connecting to diverse data sources and proficiency in DAX
- Solid understanding of relational databases and strong SQL querying skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Extensive experience in designing and developing compelling interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Experience with data cleaning, transformation, and ETL processes, particularly Power Query
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex data insights to non-technical audiences
- Familiarity with SharePoint site structures, lists, libraries, and metadata
