What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Answer inbound calls for Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Behavioral Health inquiries
- Conduct assessment and triage, providing short-term problem resolution, authorization, and referrals for callers
- Offer solution-focused consultation to assist members with issue resolution
- Determine member eligibility and benefit coverage, triaging as appropriate
- Update and enter clinical notes in the care management database
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience post-master's degree
- At least 2 years of experience using Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate multiple systems
- Dedicated, distraction-free workspace and access to high-speed internet at home
- Must reside in California
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CEAP certification (or eligibility to obtain)
- Experience in a call center environment
- Familiarity with supporting an Employee Assistance Program
- Dual diagnosis experience (behavioral health and substance use disorders)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
