      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Perform daily revenue integrity audits and charge reconciliation for Emergency Department (ED) charges
      - Monitor patient board and review census and discharges to ensure required documentation for charge capture
      - Collaborate with care providers to resolve missing documentation necessary for accurate charge capture
      - Assign appropriate ED facility E/M levels, procedures, and modifiers in accordance with CMS coding guidelines
      - Gather and report trends regarding billing errors to revenue cycle leadership

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum high school education or GED required
      - At least 1 year of experience in an acute healthcare setting related to charge entry or healthcare billing
      - Upkeep of nationally accepted Certified Coding Credentials (e.g., RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CCS)
      - 3 years of prior outpatient coding or ED technician experience required for ED Revenue Integrity Specialist II
      - Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience related to charging for Infusion and Injection medications and ED Leveling
      - Prior experience in ED facility coding
      - Strong critical thinking skills and ability to identify trends in charge reconciliation data
      - Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Billing systems, particularly Cerner and McKesson STAR
      - Exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written formats
