What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate and deliver 4-H youth activities and educational programming throughout Elmore County
- Develop and implement events and workshops for youth ages 5-13 using 4-H and Extension curriculum
- Facilitate outreach to underserved audiences with 4-H activities and events
- Assist the 4-H Program Coordinator in managing the program and supervising volunteers
- Perform clerical and administrative duties as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience organizing and teaching innovative and effective educational programs
- Experience working in a team environment
- Proven problem-solving skills, conflict management, and relationship-building abilities
- Proficiency in computer literacy and written communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent GED certification with coursework in general office skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with youth programs related to STEM, literacy, arts, and other educational topics
- Familiarity with teaching/training through the 4-H Youth Development program or similar initiatives
- Experience utilizing social media platforms for program promotion
- Networking experience with community organizations to deliver youth programs
- Self-motivated with strong public speaking and teaching skills
