What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the planning and execution of civil projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction
- Perform estimating, including quantity take-offs, pricing, and bidding for civil construction projects
- Lead, motivate, and mentor project teams, ensuring effective communication among all stakeholders
- Monitor project costs and financial performance, implementing cost-saving measures as necessary
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance throughout project execution
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management
- Proven experience managing civil projects and crews within a construction firm
- Strong understanding of construction methods, cost estimating, budgeting, and scheduling
- Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS applications)
- Knowledge of construction safety standards and regulations (OSHA)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- Working knowledge of Civil 3D software
- Verifiable civil field experience (e.g., Superintendent or Crew Foreman)
