      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Serve as a liaison and resource for investigators and research personnel regarding federal requirements and policies for human research approval
      - Attend and support convened IRB meetings, ensuring compliance with review processes for human subjects research
      - Compose and document minutes of IRB meetings, including attendance, actions taken, and voting outcomes
      - Review and confirm that human research protocol modifications are adequately addressed prior to IRB approval
      - Collaborate with the research community to provide guidance on IRB policies and procedures

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred
      - Certified IRB professional (CIP) credential in good standing, or must pass certification exam within the first 90 days of employment
      - At least 3-5 years of related research or regulatory affairs experience
      - At least 3-5 years of knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing human-subjects research
      - Familiarity with ethical principles and concepts for responsible conduct of human subjects research

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in a healthcare setting or with human subject research
      - Knowledge of accreditation standards related to human research protection
      - Participation in regional and national conferences related to IRB practices
      - Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams
      - Ability to identify process improvement opportunities within research review activities
