What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Create a contact list of relevant Haitian civil society and media actors for research and small grants
- Conduct or support 20 interviews with stakeholders in Haiti or the diaspora
- Assist in social media analysis, including identifying influential accounts and relevant lexicons
- Provide translation and analysis support for documents in Haitian Creole
- Support in-person interviews or workshops through interpretation and facilitation as needed
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Knowledge of the Haitian social media landscape and popular influencers
- Established networks within Haitian civil society and media actors related to peace and security
- Experience in research or analysis focused on peace and security dynamics in Haiti
- Strong interpersonal communication and analytical writing skills
- Bilingual proficiency in Haitian Creole
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience conducting research or analysis specifically on social media platforms related to Haitian issues
- Existing relationships with diverse stakeholders in the Haitian community
