      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Utilize computerized encoders and related systems to complete the coding process
      - Apply coding processes across all facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
      - Maintain quality targets and production standards as per organizational policies
      - Accurately abstract inpatient accounts required for hospital reporting to various outlets
      - Author and identify physician query opportunities to clarify documentation discrepancies

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma or GED equivalent
      - Formal education in Health Information Management or a related field
      - Minimum of three (3) years of inpatient coding experience in an acute hospital setting
      - One of the following credentials: Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA)
      - Proficiency in coding software and Health Information Management systems such as Electronic Health Records (EHR)

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Acute hospital coding experience preferred
      - Knowledge of coding audits processes and denials management
      - Educated in medical terminology, disease processes, anatomy, and surgical procedure coding
      - Familiarity with coding regulations including ICD10-CM/PCS, CPT, HCPCS, and revenue cycle workflows
