What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform insurance follow-up and denial resolution on outstanding claims
- Conduct payment compliance reviews and resolutions based on assigned projects
- Ensure appropriateness of patient responsibility as dictated by payer/contract/benefit
- Resolve clinical and/or authorization denials through analysis and appeals
- Prepare and monitor high dollar spreadsheets and/or payer escalations as assigned
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Three years of medical billing experience, or equivalency
- Ability to express information clearly and understandably
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
- Proven ability to identify root causes of issues and design logical resolutions
- Commitment to accuracy and thoroughness in work
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Understanding of medical billing terminology or equivalent
- Demonstrated claims knowledge through AAHAM certification, or equivalency
- One year of coding experience using ICD-10
