What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate within the Endpoint research group to develop solutions for enterprise insights on SaaS and collaboration applications
- Analyze device health and telemetry data from mobile devices to inform event detection algorithms
- Utilize statistics, data science, and AI/ML techniques to tackle open-ended research problems
- Own a well-scoped project from exploration and prototyping to practical solutions
- Contribute to internal research artifacts, technical reports, or peer-reviewed publications
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative field
- Strong understanding of networking and internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, HTTP, etc.)
- Existing portfolio of network measurement projects (publication and/or course projects)
- Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, etc.)
- Experience querying and working with data in SQL and NoSQL systems at scale
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Background in cellular networks and experience on mobile systems is a plus
