What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage day-to-day operations of the Licensing Department, ensuring compliance with state and federal licensing requirements
- Oversee the timely submission and maintenance of licensing applications, renewals, and regulatory filings
- Communicate effectively with loan originators, regulatory agencies, and internal stakeholders to address licensing issues
- Track and manage each license application until approval, ensuring all deadlines are met
- Keep the company informed about changes in licensing requirements and assist with various licensing matters
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate degree in Business Administration, Compliance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a role requiring handling sensitive information with professionalism and confidentiality
- Experience working with state and federal mortgage licensing requirements and regulatory filings
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Strong data entry and record-keeping skills to ensure licensing accuracy and compliance
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Additional compliance or regulatory certifications (e.g., Certified Mortgage Compliance Professional (CMCP))
- Familiarity with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS)
- Mortgage industry experience, particularly in compliance, licensing, or regulatory affairs
