- MSW from a CSWE-accredited program.
- Doctoral degree in social work or related field.
- At least five years of post-master’s social work practice experience.
- Experience in online instruction and curriculum development.
- Interest in continuously exploring new technology.
- Commitment to teaching and mentoring.
- Experience in teaching micro and macro practice.
- Familiarity with generalist and advanced generalist curriculum.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities.
- Demonstrated ability to address intersectionality theory in the classroom, particularly with power, privilege, and oppression issues.
- Strong clinical experience in mental health settings.
- Experience teaching adult learners in a college environment.
- Effective record of innovation integrating curriculum and practice with appropriate technologies.
- Knowledge of UMass Global policies and procedures.
- Assistant Professor: $80,000 - $82,500
- Associate Professor: $83,500 - $86,000
- Professor: $90,500 - $92,000
- Full Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $78,500 - $87,500
- Associate Professor: $83,500 - $92,500
- Full Salary Range: Professor: $90,500 - $100,500

The responsibilities of UMass Global's full-time faculty include teaching, mentoring, and providing service. Research activities are supported but not required. All faculty positions are non-tenure track, primarily hired as Assistant Professor. However, a higher rank may be considered if appropriate. This 10-month position includes shared responsibility for curricular administration of the Master of Social Work Program. The MSW program serves many first-generation students, military students, and students in groups underrepresented in academia. This position is expected to work and teach online rather than from a physical campus.

The posted Typical Starting UMass Global Academic salary range establishes the minimum pay based on rank at the time of appointment.
