What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Screen patients and prepare them for exams by healthcare providers
- Administer medications and immunizations as directed
- Perform phlebotomy, CLIA waived labs, and in-house laboratory tests
- Assist medical providers during visits and procedures
- Document all patient services in the EHR system
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Successful completion of an approved program for Medical Assistants or related training
- High School diploma or GED certificate
- Minimum of one year Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory care setting
- Valid California driver's license and insurable under SIHC vehicle insurance policy
- Ability to pass pre-employment screenings and maintain required certifications
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with Pediatric patients preferred
- Strong team building, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to resolve conflicts
- Willingness to cooperate in accomplishing department goals
