What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for hospitals during on-call hours from home
- Respond promptly to patient inquiries and manage urgent medical situations
- Ensure continuity of care during critical nighttime hours
- Utilize clinical expertise to provide reassurance to patients and medical teams
- Work a schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Current Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Hospital coverage experience is required
- Minimum of 1,000 hours of hospital experience if applying as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN)
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to handle urgent issues independently
- Punctuality and availability for scheduled shifts
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in a remote healthcare role
- Additional certifications or specializations in urgent care or emergency medicine
- Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
