What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to and triage incoming calls and requests for scheduling medical exams, procedures, and tests
- Complete scheduling from work queues, including managing referrals, reschedules, and wait list scheduling
- Schedule patient appointments and communicate necessary pre-visit instructions and requirements
- Document and distribute clinical inquiries and escalation messages to relevant healthcare staff
- Handle inquiries regarding insurance, office hours, services, and appointment details
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of medical office or call center experience
- Entry-level computer skills as required by the department
- Strong customer service and phone etiquette skills
- Accurate data entry skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with medical scheduling systems or electronic health records
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes
- Proficiency in handling high call volumes in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations
