What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Take initial patient histories and perform physical examinations
- Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care while ensuring complete screening and preparation of patients
- Perform daily patient rounds and write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests
- Interpret laboratory and test results and confer with healthcare team members to ensure quality care
- Provide discharge summaries and post-discharge care instructions to patients
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's Degree required; must be a graduate of an accredited program
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant (PA) by the New York State Department of Education
- Current NCCPA Certification from the National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants
- Current BLS certification
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Experience in a clinical setting as a Physician Assistant or similar role
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
