What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Work directly with manager to enter charges from providers for non-office based services
- Review medical documentation for assigning billing modifiers to insurance claims
- Perform charge reconciliation and work with physicians/providers to ensure missing revenue is realized
- Communication with management, providers, and payers to discuss coding assignments and resolve edits
- Attend and participate in team meetings to discuss coding/charging issues
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to identify trends and recommend solutions to billing and revenue cycle processes
- Coding certification through AAPC or AHIMA required
- High school diploma required, associate or bachelor's degree preferred
- Proven working knowledge of professional billing of CPT and ICD coding systems
- Knowledge of Federal billing regulations governing Medicare and Medicaid programs
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Epic experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience working with provider E&M education
- Experience with EM (Evaluation Management)
