      Our R&D organization is global, professional and strives for best practices and high efficiency. Our technology stack includes AWS (and also Azure), Kubernetes, Terraform, HELM, Kinesis, Relational DB (ClickHouse), Airflow, Elastic Cache for Redis, RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL), Prometheus, Grafana, NodeJS, Go(lang), Python, React, GitLab CI/CD and more.


      About the Role

      We are seeking a R&D Group Lead to join our expanding R&D team.

      This position is suitable for an exiting experienced Team Leader with the potential and willing to grow.

      You will be a key leader, managing a group of talented backend and full-stack engineers responsible for developing and maintaining our Core functionality and several critical product lines. This is a hands-on technical management role where you will:

      • Drive significant features from concept to deployment across the entire stack - including the database, backend services, and modern frontend.
      • Design, build, mentor, and maintain high-scale, production-ready systems for CHEQ’s innovative products.
      • Contribute to core architectural decisions.
      • Mentor senior and mid-level engineers.

      Requirements

      Must have:

      • Working in AWS cloud environment - a must.
      • BA or BsC in computer science or equivalent.
      • 5+ years in software developments as a software developer. (NodeJS, Python, Go)
      • Experience in leading teams - as a manager combining hands on work.
      • Manages at least 6 employees (Developers and QA) or Led significant projects as the leader of those projects.
      • Experience work with REST APIs and APIs in general.
      • Hands-on experience with SQL and noSQL databases, SQL, Postgres and others.
      • Strong understanding of, SDLC, and bug lifecycle.
      • Comfortable working independently and across teams.
      • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

      • Managed a team leader as well within this group - Advantage.
      • Experience in AWS Cloud services across multiple regions, as well as various SAAS and non-SAAS products. (Experience with K8S - a must)
      • Strong understanding of automation and QA best practices.
      • Detail-oriented mindset with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
