What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Implement a patient-centric model involving physicians, clinics, and hospitals
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Centers of Excellence, academic institutions, and health systems
- Provide education and support for healthcare providers advocating for rare disease patients
- Execute strategic business and account plans based on local market conditions
- Foster relationships with patient advocacy groups to enhance disease awareness and education
What is Required (Qualifications):
- BS/BA degree AND 8+ years of sales experience in the biotech/pharmaceutical industry, including 5+ years calling on prescribers of specialized products
- Proven launch experience in complex and competitive environments
- Demonstrated sales performance with quantifiable accomplishments and awards in specialty pharmaceutical or biotech markets
- Experience in rare diseases and prior experience with Key Accounts and academic institutions preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record required for frequent driving duties
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master's degree AND 6+ years of relevant experience, or PhD AND 4+ years of relevant experience
- Experience with products in specialty pharmacy distribution/Hub Model
- Prior start-up or market development experience
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory environments
- Ability to identify and hire an exceptional sales team
