What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Schedule diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries while providing necessary preparation instructions to patients
- Prepare, process, and manage patient documentation within the department database
- Act as a liaison between patients and the billing department, resolving outstanding issues and concerns
- Monitor and manage schedule queues for staffing and services coordination
- Compile and maintain accurate departmental records, including payroll and employee information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of three years of experience working in a medical office or clinic with an emphasis on scheduling
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient information security
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong active listening skills and the ability to communicate empathy
- Ability to quickly learn new procedures and processes
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certificate in Medical Terminology
- Certification related to a specific area of expertise or additional years of related experience
