What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process end-to-end semi-monthly payrolls while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations
- Calculate and process monthly commissions for sales and customer success teams with 100% accuracy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee compensation inquiries and disputes
- Support month-end close, annual audits, and payroll-related projects, including year-end reporting preparation
- Identify and implement improvements in payroll and commission systems to enhance efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years in payroll, compensation, revenue operations, or finance with ownership of payroll and commissions processes
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations and wage and hour laws
- Experience with data analysis in Excel and Google Sheets, including advanced formulas and pivot tables
- Salesforce experience required for querying and validating data
- Proven track record in designing and implementing compensation strategies
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field
- Certification as a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
- Experience with payroll software such as Paycor, BambooHR, or Deel
- Familiarity with NetSuite
- Experience with international payroll processing
