      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Conduct prospective and retrospective chart reviews, ensuring compliance with coding requirements
      - Identify coding discrepancies and provide actionable suggestions for improvement
      - Communicate audit results and findings to providers and ancillary staff
      - Provide continuing education on coding standards to enhance staff knowledge
      - Support compliance with government and private payer regulations through research and collaboration

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High school diploma or equivalent
      - Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience
      - At least 4 years of procedural and diagnostic coding experience
      - AAPC Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification OR Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) certification through AHIMA
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong attention to detail

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and pharmacology
      - Familiarity with SNOMED, SNODENT, and LOINC coding systems
      - Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills
      - Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
      - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
