What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Model the cost of components, systems, and products to support commercial negotiations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop Total Cost of Ownership Models
- Train and coach engineering and procurement teams on cost modeling techniques
- Maintain competitor intelligence and cost target models to identify cost opportunities
- Lead projects aimed at reducing total product costs through optimization of manufacturing processes
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from a regionally accredited college or university
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in material planning, sourcing, manufacturing, or engineering
- Experience in high-value add industries such as energy, aviation, ship-building, or automotive
- Knowledge of supply chain management disciplines, including costing systems and financial reporting
- Strong analytical skills with experience in detailed cost analytics
