What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and execute the regional value-add growth strategy to align with company initiatives
- Act as the subject matter expert for value-add processes and support outside sales with technical consultations
- Collaborate with operations to ensure machine capacity and scheduling align with commercial demand
- Own the Value Add P&L metrics, reviewing performance dashboards to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Provide coaching and mentorship to sales and quoting specialists to enhance team performance
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 5-10 years of experience in metals distribution, machining, or value-added manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of various material processing types (CNC machining, waterjet, etc.)
- Proven ability to translate technical capability into commercial advantage
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with sales, operations, and customers
- Proficient in ERP systems (SAP preferred), quoting systems, and CRM (Salesforce)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Business
- Experience managing technical sales or regional manufacturing operations
- Familiarity with equipment programming/part drafting software
- Demonstrated success in driving solution-selling adoption in a metals or aerospace environment
