What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct concurrent reviews of medical records to ensure accurate physician documentation
- Identify opportunities for documentation enhancement and query physicians for clarification
- Collaborate with physicians and coders to ensure documentation reflects the patient’s severity of illness
- Provide education to the patient care team on high-quality documentation practices
- Maintain compliance with official ICD-10-CM coding guidelines
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with current RN licensure in the State of Florida, OR
- Advanced Medical Practitioner, OR
- International Medical Diploma
- Minimum 3 years of recent clinical experience in a hospital setting
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS)
- Experience in Utilization Management, Case Management, Quality Improvement, or Inpatient Coding
