What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Canvass neighborhoods and community spaces such as daycare centers, aftercare programs, churches, and local businesses
- Build relationships with local leaders and community partners to enhance outreach efforts
- Engage families in authentic conversations about their children's education and school enrollment
- Share information about school programs, enrollment processes, and upcoming events
- Provide weekly updates on outreach efforts and collaborate with the Recruitment and Engagement team to meet enrollment goals
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must be passionate about education, equity, and serving families
- Strong communication skills; able to convey information clearly and enthusiastically
- Organized with effective follow-through on family interest and outreach
- Comfortable working independently and managing time without constant supervision
- Ability to connect with diverse communities and build trust quickly
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in community outreach or engagement, especially in education-related fields
- Familiarity with local community organizations and resources
- Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong listening skills and ability to adapt communication styles to different audiences
