What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Write clear, engaging, and accurate articles and educational content on mental health topics
- Translate clinically reviewed concepts into accessible language for a general audience
- Collaborate with clinical experts to source quotes and ensure factual accuracy
- Revise and iterate on content based on editorial feedback and evolving priorities
- Use SEO tools to optimize content for keyword usage and readability
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Proven experience writing about mental health, healthcare, or health education topics
- Strong ability to explain complex topics with clarity and empathy
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with attention to tone and audience
- Experience working with subject-matter experts and incorporating feedback
- Familiarity with SEO best practices and tools to optimize content
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Deep familiarity with mental health topic areas such as therapy modalities or youth mental health
- Experience writing for digital health or nonprofit organizations
- Familiarity with content performance metrics and basic analytics
- Background in journalism, communications, public health, psychology, or related fields
- Experience collaborating with designers, photographers, or video teams
