What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Research and write articles on legal issues, compliance, and operational challenges in the private fund industry
- Identify relevant article topics and trends through engagement with industry sources and information gathering
- Develop and maintain relationships with key industry participants to gather insights and cultivate sources
- Attend panels and webinars to stay informed on industry developments
- Ensure articles are engaging, thorough, and meet editorial deadlines with minimal editing required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- At least three years of paid, long-form reporting/writing experience, preferably in legal, business, or financial topics
- Excellent reporting, writing, research, interview, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Excellent proofreading skills
- Juris Doctor or equivalent law degree preferred but not required
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience covering the hedge fund or private equity industry
- Proven ability to create sophisticated articles under tight deadlines
- Familiarity with industry best practices and regulations
