What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review new and renewal mono-line commercial general liability and excess liability risks to determine acceptability for quoting and binding
- Manage assigned portfolio to achieve gross written premium, profitability, and retention goals
- Develop and maintain effective agency partnerships through collaboration and strategic marketing
- Utilize underwriting tools and strategies to ensure compliance with guidelines and best practices
- Prepare and analyze information on underwriting decisions and company appetite to drive results
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 4-7+ years of Specialty or standard commercial lines experience
- 3-4+ years of experience in driving agency relationships resulting in profitable business
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal and external partners
- Ability to make sound business decisions and exercise good judgment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Basic property underwriting experience
- Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to change and solve complex problems
- Experience in sales management and building strong producer relationships
- Knowledge of market factors affecting pricing and underwriting decisions
- Familiarity with various financial reporting and insurance performance measures
