What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Supervise, direct, and coordinate outpatient pharmacy technicians, volunteers, and students
- Develop and implement pharmacy improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Business Administrator
- Ensure proper training for new employees, including various pharmacy systems and processes
- Assist with managing accreditation body activities and communicate pharmacy policy updates
- Promote staff engagement and customer service excellence within the pharmacy department
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences
- ASHP/ACPE-accredited technician training or certificate program, including 1 year of supervisory experience
- Pharmacy Technician License by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy
- National Technician Certification (PTCB)
- Competent in all areas and technician roles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Master’s Degree
- Strong math skills
- Prior supervisory experience
- 2+ years of experience in the UAMS pharmacy system
