What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collect and verify patient intake documents and demographics prior to appointments
- Answer inbound and outbound calls, providing assistance to patients
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with copay and deductible inquiries
- Direct out-of-network insured patients to the Office of Financial Counseling
- Provide detailed appointment information, including time, location, and physician details
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma, GED, or formal educational equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of customer service or healthcare experience
- Ability to follow oral instructions and proficient in reading and writing
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of office machines including printers and scanners
- Exceptional customer service skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate degree in general studies or a related field
- One year of experience in a medical office setting
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology, with competency expected within 3 months of hire
- Registration experience in a healthcare environment
