Job Description

- 10:00am - arrive and prep classroom
- 10:45am - children's ministry program/lesson
- 11:30am - return children to parents
- 12:00pm - clean up classroom and depart

Teach either nursery, pre-K-2nd grade or 3rd-5th grade Children’s Church class, depending upon need as determined by the Children’s Ministry Lead.

Nursery staff will be required to pick up children, play with the children on the floor, change diapers and take children to the bathroom.

Help setup and clean up classrooms at Beth Israel Center.

Setup class supplies and replenish as necessary.

Review curriculum and lesson plans (provided by the Children’s Ministry Lead) in advance to be prepared to teach upon arrival.

Help facilitate Children’s Church participants check-in and dismissal before and during the adult worship service.

Facilitate and support the nursery/pre-K-2nd/3rd-5th class volunteers.

Be the teaching lead of the curriculum with support from other Sunday staff and volunteers. Teach the lessons in a gospel-centered and biblical way.

Facilitate the dismissal and check-out process after the adult worship service is over.

Must be available on Sundays from 10:00am to 12:30pm.

Arrive on time each Sunday.

Attend mandatory training sessions each year to review policies & procedures in order to continue to serve the children of Res Pres safely and effectively

Give at least two weeks notice prior to being absent. If ill, please notify the Children’s Ministry Lead as soon as possible.

No more than 6 absences per year (including sick days).

A commitment to serve at least 1 academic year from start date.

Must pass Res Pres’s background and reference check.
- Agrees with the vision and values of Resurrection Presbyterian Church.
- Experience in teaching or babysitting nursery, preschool or elementary children.
- Must be a team player and have character qualities such as integrity, wisdom, and good judgment.
- Must be punctual and responsible.
- Warm and engaging personality that is welcoming to parents and children, especially those children who may have difficulty separating from their parents.

POSITION SUMMARY
Res Pres is hiring staff for Sunday mornings who will love, care for and teach our nursery, preschool, and elementary children. This role includes helping with setup and teardown, teaching, and being a friendly and consistent face for Res Pres children and their families.
