  What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
  - Manage the end-to-end underwriting process for Disability Insurance applications, making informed decisions on approvals or modifications
  - Analyze medical history, occupational risks, and financial backgrounds to assess disability insurance applications
  - Provide timely, high-quality service to third-party firms, advisors, and customers
  - Clearly communicate underwriting outcomes and build strong relationships with stakeholders
  - Mentor and coach less experienced underwriters, fostering team growth and excellence
  
  What is Required (Qualifications):
  - High school diploma or GED
  - Minimum of 7 years of disability insurance underwriting experience
  - Authority to approve up to $10K in disability insurance underwriting
  - Proven ability to work independently while managing assigned cases with minimal oversight
  - Strong verbal and written communication skills
  
  How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
  - Bachelor’s degree
  - Over 8 years of Disability Income underwriting experience
  - Authority to approve $15K+ IDI and $20K+ Business Overhead Expense cases without a second signature
  - Completion of relevant industry designations/exams (e.g., ALU 101/201/202, LOMA, ALMI, FMLI)
  - Proven success in a fast-paced, high-volume underwriting environment
