What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies targeting federal agencies to drive revenue growth
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within federal agencies
- Oversee the entire sales process, from prospecting and proposal development to contract negotiation
- Monitor sales team performance against federal sales targets and adjust strategies as necessary
- Stay informed on federal government policies and attend industry events to expand the company's presence
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in public sector sales, with at least 5 years focused on federal direct sales
- In-depth knowledge of the federal procurement process, including familiarity with FAR and GSA schedules
- Proven success in leading sales teams that consistently exceed federal revenue targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior executives
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Strong relationships with key federal government decision-makers and stakeholders
- Expertise in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results
- Willingness to travel (50%+) for customer engagement and industry events
