What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead the development and submission of environmental permits, impact assessments, and compliance reports
- Perform detailed regulatory research and analysis to ensure adherence to environmental laws
- Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, addressing compliance-related concerns and permit conditions
- Oversee and conduct environmental field assessments, audits, and compliance monitoring
- Mentor and train junior staff and interns, providing technical guidance and career development support
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 6+ years of experience in environmental compliance, regulatory assessments, or permitting
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related life sciences field
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, permitting processes, and compliance strategies
- Ability to lead and perform complex field assessments, data analysis, and compliance monitoring
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Advanced technical writing proficiency for regulatory reports and environmental documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with GIS or environmental modeling tools is a plus
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication skills
