What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone, email, chat, or other channels, providing accurate and timely information
- Clarify and resolve customer issues by identifying needs and implementing effective solutions
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to appropriate team members or departments
- Document all customer interactions accurately in the customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Adhere to quality standards and key performance indicators (KPIs) for productivity and customer satisfaction
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of customer service experience required, preferably in a call center or help desk environment
- Familiarity with CRM software and customer service tools preferred
- Experience in a hospital or physical business office preferred
- Knowledge of insurance collection follow-up or self-pay collections
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate Degree or some college coursework in a related field preferred
- 1 year of experience in a call center with a focus on productivity expectations and high call volumes
- 1 year of experience with medical revenue cycle processes from scheduling through account disposition
- Experience and knowledge about EOB, Remits, and UB-04s preferred
