What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Develop and review rate filings for title insurance products to ensure compliance with state-specific regulations
- Analyze system specifications, identify trends, and create and test rating algorithms and models
- Ensure accuracy in rate calculations and prepare documentation for rate filings
- Evaluate risks to ensure rates are fair to customers and profitable for the company
- Support regulatory due diligence for entry into new states
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management, Insurance, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2-5+ years of experience in title insurance, rate analysis, regulatory filings, or insurance compliance
- Familiarity with state insurance department filing processes (SERFF)
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working at a title insurance underwriter
- Assist in developing filing strategies, timelines, and implementation plans for new products and endorsements
- Ensure operational and system readiness following DOI approval
