- As the Principal IT Security Analyst you are responsible for developing strategies pertaining to IT security services, applications, and operations, providing guidance to a team of professionals in security operations. Possesses mastery of IT security analytics and specializes in the detection, investigation, and remediation of information security threats and incidents. Oversees the success of the Security Operations Center, including oversight of a student workforce, the development, investigation, and implementation of required products, processes (new and enhanced), standards, and operational plans to hit strategic targets. Responsible for ensuring data protection needs and chain of command requirements are met. Ensuring compliance with university, governmental, and industry standards, regulations, and practices. Responsible for being highly collaborate and aware, and for reporting metrics and status of information security services to IT executive leadership.

What We're Looking For: Education and Experience Needed:
- Bachelor's of Science in Information Security, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Network Engineering and/or Cybersecurity preferred
- At least eight (8) years of technical experience in two of the following areas:
- IT Security infrastructure, design, implementation
- Evaluation and integration of security technologies
- IT Security operations
- IT Security consulting
- Experience leading projects and teams
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted
Preferred:
- Master's degree in InfoSec, CS/CT, Network Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related fields
- One or more of the following certifications:
- GCIH, CISSP, GSOM, CISM, GCIA, CEH, other
- Direct experience with working in complex and diverse enterprise technology environments, with application/network/systems administration, and IT Security risk assessment
- Experience working directly in or with institutions of higher education
Skills Needed:
- Must be highly collaborative and communicative with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Working knowledge of computer systems, networking technologies and scripting
- Working knowledge of security tolls and monitoring
- Highly experienced and knowledgeable regarding security tools and monitoring
- Operational understanding of security frameworks
- Excellent customer service
- Ability to:
- work independently as well as in a collaborate team environment
- integrate and support information and cyber security processes, tools, and applications
- run a Security Operations Center
Preferred:
- Operational understanding of a security framework; such as, Intelligence Driven Defense, Cyber Kill Chain, Diamond Model, and/or MITRE ATT&CK
