What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist with research and outreach activities related to budget and tax reform
- Track and respond to policy proposals through blog posts, issue briefs, and op-ed drafting
- Collaborate with non-profit partner organizations and Stand Together Fellowships staff
- Participate in virtual professional development training every other Thursday
- Engage with various initiatives, including the Taxpayers Budget Office and Interstate Commerce Initiative
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Strong interest in public policy and research
- Attention to detail and analytical skills
- Excellent writing and communication abilities
- Availability for virtual training sessions every other Thursday from 1-4 PM ET
- Authorization to work in the U.S. throughout the internship duration
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience in research or public policy analysis
- Familiarity with issues related to budget, taxes, and regulations
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
- Engagement with advocacy or community service projects
- Relevant coursework or academic background in political science, economics, or related fields
