What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Translate strategic goals from the Solutions Working Group into actionable plans across lab focus areas
- Lead and manage rotational teams within the lab, ensuring effective onboarding and task allocation
- Oversee financial management of the lab budget and report on return on investment
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to optimize costs and capabilities
- Ensure effective knowledge transfer and maintain a secure, efficient lab infrastructure
What is Required (Qualifications):
- U.S. Citizenship required for eligibility for a National Agency Check (NAC) with no negative findings
- 10 years of combined software engineering and infrastructure experience required
- 3 years of Project Management experience with budget management responsibilities required
- Proven experience in federal program environments with knowledge of government-specific constraints
- Strong leadership experience managing technical teams or labs, especially in rotational staffing models
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with multi-cloud environments, including AWS and Azure
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or similar tools
- Skilled in development using Python, C#, Java, and VS Code
- Familiarity with GitLab or similar repository/version control systems
- Demonstrated creativity in developing innovative technical solutions
