What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to mental health crisis and suicide prevention hotline calls
- Conduct risk assessments and determine appropriate interventions
- Provide emotional support, crisis counseling, and referrals to clients
- Document services in Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Collaborate with the crisis response team while working independently
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in mental health, behavioral health, or crisis services
- Bachelor's degree in human services preferred or equivalent experience
- Strong skills in crisis intervention, de-escalation, and multitasking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and EHR systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a remote work environment
- Familiarity with Wisconsin DHS 34 and Chapter 51 regulations
- Additional certifications in mental health crisis intervention
- Bilingual skills to assist a diverse client population
- Strong understanding of community resources for mental health support
