What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Oversee the safe and efficient operation of natural gas compression equipment as a Compressor Operator for the Vapor Recovery Unit
- Operate and monitor natural gas compressors, dehydration units, and associated equipment
- Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate logs of operating data and maintenance activities
- Identify mechanical or process issues and escalate as necessary to maintenance personnel
- Utilize digital tools for data entry and reporting while following all company safety policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in gas compression, oil & gas operations, or industrial maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals
- Availability for rotating shift work, including weekends and holidays
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with rotating equipment, instrumentation, and process controls
- Certifications such as OSHA 10/30, H2S Awareness, First Aid/CPR, or DOT Operator Qualification (OQ)
- Knowledge of HMI systems and control room operations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions and remote locations
