      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Code outpatient medical records to facilitate reimbursement and data collection
      - Assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses and CPT-4 procedure codes to outpatient treatments
      - Review medical record abstract data for accuracy in EPIC/IHIS before finalizing charts
      - Ensure complete and accurate coding in accordance with departmental productivity and quality standards
      - Maintain an approved work schedule while managing varying shifts

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Must be able to work varying shifts as scheduled
      - Knowledge of medical coding and terminology, specifically ICD-10-CM and CPT-4
      - Ability to utilize Encoder Software and EPIC/IHIS Resolute Billing system
      - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding processes
      - Must be able to complete a background check and possibly a drug screen or physical

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience in coding for emergency room, outpatient surgery, outpatient clinic, and observation records
      - Familiarity with healthcare reimbursement processes and data collection methods
      - Previous internship or coursework related to medical coding
